Outcast (2016) is a body of work made up of five mini series based on local stories surrounding mental health and gender in Jersey, Channel Islands from the late 1800s to early 1900s. This project is informed by research I carried out at a local archive at the Société Jersiaise, images from the abandoned mental asylum, medical reports and local books. The project consists of staged re-imagining of specific stories found and were displayed as individual series of film stills, flip books and a zoetrope.
